Thomas Tallis
SambaXchange
In the early 2000s, Jon Nicholls, a teacher at Thomas Tallis, was inspired by his participation in samba music, invited Paraiso School of Samba to deliver a project at Thomas Tallis School. The result of the project can be found in the video above.
TARU @ Ferrier Estate (2005–2009)
After the success of the 2004 carnival, TARU continued its creative journey in the Ferrier Estate, running a series of community-focused arts projects in partnership with FRAG (Ferrier Residents Action Group), Thomas Tallis School, local primary schools, community groups, and Greenwich Council. One of the standout projects was Dancin Angelz—a vibrant dance initiative where a group of local young girls worked with a professional dancer. Together, they created original choreography and developed a performance group that reflected their ideas and energy. The project culminated in a filmed performance and live showcases for family, friends, and neighbours at the Ferrier Community Hall.
Alongside Dancin Angelz, TARU also delivered a range of exciting workshops that engaged young people in movement, music, and visual arts. These included:

Capoeira - Exploring the Brazilian martial art that blends dance and rhythm.
Graffiti Art - Encouraging self-expression through street-style visual art
Carnival Workshops - Continuing the creative legacy of Romero with costume and performance-making

TALLIS at 50
Tallis' celebration of its 50 year anniversary is not only a celebration of the school over the years, but a comprehensive reflection on the evolution of the local community. Many stories from Tallis students have been collated into their Tallisat50 website.
